Dr. Laureen Laturnas
Dr. Laureen Laturnas was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She is the second-youngest of five kids and she remains close to her family. She obtained her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Waterloo, in 2000.
After graduation she happily returned to the prairies and worked in various locations within Alberta. Dr. Laturnas appreciates the friendly atmosphere and quality of life to be found in smaller communities. She moved to Wainwright in 2005 and has made this her permanent home by becoming a partner in the practice.
In her free time Dr. Laturnas likes to read novels and go to the gym. In the past she has been part of a community band as an oboe player. These days she enjoys doing yoga and stained glass, and is almost always in the midst of a home-renovation project.
